A couple of Saturdays ago, we visited Steersons on King Street Wharf for lunch – something I had really been looking forward to! We had a voucher from Travelzoo (which I happen to think is awesome) that allowed us lunch for two at the restaurant for half price. We’ve been to this lovely restaurant before and it is certainly worth its full price, so this offer was far too good to resist!
We were seated out on the balcony with a lovely view over Darling Harbour, and a welcome breeze to break up the muggy weather. We shared a starter of seared scallops with pea and wasabi puree and pork crisp, which was wonderful and beautifully presented.
I’m afraid we did both go with what we knew on this occasion (flavour yes, adventure not so much!) and I chose eye fillet steak cooked rare, with green peppercorn sauce and fries. As you can see, the steak was succulent, cooked perfectly and so juicy and flavoursome – rare steak is the only way to have fillet in my opinion!
I couldn’t even manage any dessert after this – maybe next time. Visit Steersons very soon Adventurites, it really is a great place for steak with plenty of different cuts and accompaniments to chose from (although, also be aware there isn’t much else but steak on the menu). We highly recommend it and will go back again soon!
